Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the SM11 series, designed for consistent control, varied flight, and broad customization options.
Titleist introduces the new generation of wedges with the Vokey Design SM11 series. These wedges are engineered to maintain consistent ball contact, flight behavior, and spin across all lofts. Variants within the same loft are identically tuned regardless of sole shape. The new wedges are now available for fittings and will be globally released in golf retail from February 20.
Titleist Launches the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
A key feature of the SM11 range is the extensive selection of versions. The lineup includes 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole designs. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short game increments and additional K-Grind variants with adjusted bounce. This breadth caters to diverse playing styles and set configurations.
Titleist applies a uniform approach to flight tuning in the SM11 wedges. The center of gravity is consistently positioned across all sole types within a given loft, ensuring flight characteristics remain unchanged if a player chooses a different grind during fitting. The goal is consistent distance and flight control across all variations.
Optimized Flight and Spin Characteristics
The center of gravity is stepped throughout the loft spectrum. Lower lofts from 44 to 52 degrees are designed to align with iron flight trajectories. Higher lofts, 58 and 60 degrees, are tuned for a slightly lower ball flight. The 54 and 56-degree models fall between these ranges, helping each wedge in the set to have a distinct role.
The SM11 wedges also feature updated face designs. Different groove patterns are used depending on loft. Lower lofts have grooves optimized for full swing shots, while higher lofts have grooves that enhance ball contact on shorter shots and challenging lies. Groove volume has been increased from previous models.
Features and Availability of the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
The face includes a new surface texture aligned with the swing direction, improving contact particularly on shots around the green. Grooves in the striking area are heat-treated to retain shape and performance over time. Every wedge face undergoes thorough quality control before delivery.
The Vokey SM11 wedges are offered in lofts from 44 to 60 degrees for right- and left-handed players. Available finishes include Tour Chrome, Nickel, Jet Black, plus a Raw Finish custom option. They come with a variety of steel and graphite shafts and the Titleist Universal 360 grip.
