Titleist Vokey SM11 Wedges: Advancing the Short Game with New Technology

Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the new Vokey SM11 series, focusing on consistent control, flight characteristics, and diverse options.

With the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges, Titleist launches a new generation of wedges engineered for consistent ball contact, flight, and spin across all lofts. Each loft contains variants identically tuned regardless of sole shape chosen. These new wedges are now available for fitting and will hit golf shops worldwide from February 20.

Titleist Launches Vokey Design SM11 Wedges

The SM11 line boasts a wide selection: 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind spanning six sole shapes. New options include a 44-degree wedge for finer short-game increments and additional K-Grind variants with adjusted bounce, catering to diverse playing styles and set configurations.

Titleist adopts a unified flight path approach within the SM11 wedges. The center of gravity remains consistent across all sole forms within each loft, so flight behavior stays the same even when a player chooses a different grind during fitting. This assures uniform distance and flight control across variants.

Consistent Flight and Enhanced Spin Control

Center of gravity is graduated across lofts: the lower 44-52 degree wedges match iron flight behavior, while the higher 58 and 60 degree models feature a slightly flatter ball flight. Models at 54 and 56 degrees bridge these ranges to differentiate wedges clearly within the set.

The wedge faces are tailored to lofts with different groove designs: lower lofts favor full swing shots while higher lofts focus on short shots and challenging lies. Groove volume has increased compared to predecessors. A new surface texture aligned with the stroke enhances ball contact especially around the green. Grooves are heat-treated to maintain shape longer, and every face undergoes thorough inspections before release.

Options and Availability

The Vokey Design SM11 wedges come in lofts from 44 to 60 degrees for right- and left-handed players. Finish options include Tour Chrome, Nickel, and Jet Black, plus a Raw Finish custom option. Various steel and graphite shafts with Titleist’s Universal 360 grips complete the offerings.
