With the new Titleist Vokey SM11 wedges, Titleist expands its wedge lineup focusing on consistent shot control, varied ball flights, and broad options.
The Vokey Design SM11 wedges represent a new generation designed to maintain consistency in ball contact, flight, and spin across all lofts. All variants within a loft share identical tuning regardless of sole shape. These wedges are available for fittings now and will be in golf shops worldwide from February 20.
Titleist Launches the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
The SM11 series features a wide selection of options, offering 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole variations. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short game control and extra K-Grind options with adjusted bounce to suit diverse playing styles and set configurations.
To ensure consistent ball flight, Titleist aligned the center of gravity equally across all sole types within each loft, so switching grinds during fittings won’t affect flight or distance control.
Flight and Groove Innovations for Improved Playability
The center of gravity varies progressively through the loft range, with lower lofts (44-52 degrees) matching iron flight characteristics, higher lofts (58 and 60 degrees) tuned for a slightly lower trajectory, and mid lofts (54 and 56 degrees) positioned in between to clearly differentiate wedges within a set.
The wedge faces feature tailored groove designs based on loft: lower lofts have grooves optimized for full swings, while higher lofts have grooves aimed at improving contact on shorter shots and challenging lies. Groove volume has increased from previous models.
Durability and Customization Options
A new face texture aligned with the swing path enhances ball contact around the green. Grooves receive heat treatment to retain their shape longer, with each face thoroughly inspected before delivery. The SM11 wedges come in 44 to 60-degree lofts for right- and left-handed golfers, available in Tour Chrome, Nickel, Jet Black finishes, and a Raw Finish custom option. Shafts include various steel and graphite options alongside the Titleist Universal 360 grip.
