With the new Titleist Vokey SM11 wedges, Titleist expands its wedge lineup featuring consistent shot control, graduated flight characteristics, and a wide range of options.
Titleist introduces a new generation of wedges with the Vokey Design SM11 series. These models are engineered to maintain consistent ball contact, flight behavior, and spin across all lofts. Within each loft, all variants are identically tuned regardless of the sole grind chosen. The new wedges are now available for fittings and will be sold worldwide in golf specialty stores starting February 20.
Titleist Launches the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
A key feature of the SM11 lineup is the extensive variety of options. The series includes 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole types. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer increments in the short game and additional K-Grind variants with customized bounce. This selection caters to a broad range of play styles and set compositions.
Titleist employs a unified approach to flight tuning with the SM11 wedges. The center of gravity within each loft is positioned the same across all sole shapes, ensuring flight characteristics don’t change when a player switches to a different grind during fitting. The goal is consistent distance and flight control across all variants.
Consistent Flight and Design Innovations
Throughout the loft spectrum, the center of gravity varies incrementally. Lower lofts from 44 to 52 degrees are designed to closely align with the flight of irons. The higher lofts of 58 and 60 degrees have been tuned for slightly lower ball flights, while the 54 and 56-degree models sit in between. This gradation helps each wedge in a set feel distinctive.
The face of the SM11 wedges has been updated with varying groove designs depending on loft. Lower loft wedges use grooves suited for full swings, while higher lofts have grooves optimized for short shots and challenging lies. The groove volume has also been increased compared to previous models.
A new face finish featuring a directional texture enhances ball contact on short shots around the green. The grooves are heat treated to retain their shape longer. Each wedge face undergoes thorough quality control before delivery.
