Srixon ZXiR: New Irons Offering More Support in Long Game

Srixon expands its iron lineup for golfers seeking more support in their long game.

With the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon raises the bar in the playability iron segment, or better said, broadens it. These models are designed for those seeking more support and comfort in their shots. Some want more distance, others more control, or simply a better feel with the club. The new variants provide new options while maintaining the design. They aim to round off the series and facilitate entry into the world of ZXi irons, combining a particularly soft feel with high forgiveness.

Srixon: New Material, New Feel

At the core of the development is a new material: i-ALLOY. According to Srixon, it is about 10% softer than typical 431 steel, resulting in less vibration and a softer feel. Combined with a revised face technology called MainFrame pattern, this creates a smoother feel with higher ball speed. Also, the redesigned face technology positions the sweet spot exactly where most players need it.

Visually, the irons stay true to the ZXi series style: cavity-back design and a sleek topline – but with some adjustments. Wider soles, longer clubfaces, and more offset provide a good feel and confidence, especially addressing the ball. The HL variant is tailored for players with lower swing speeds who benefit from higher launch angles, offering more help with ball takeoff.

Fitting and Options – Beyond Standard

The ZXi family now consists of seven models, providing a suitable iron for nearly every swing profile. As with previous models, Srixon emphasizes variability with the ZXiR irons. Shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and numerous combinations are available to help club fitters and players optimize their setup. The new irons will be available for pre-order through fittings starting December 4, 2025, with official sales beginning February 6, 2026. The price for a set of six irons is 1,049 euros, available in both steel and graphite versions.
