Srixon ZXiR: New Irons Offering More Support in Long Game

Srixon expands its iron lineup for golfers seeking more support in their long game.

With the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon raises the bar in the game-improvement irons segment – or rather broadens it. These models target all players looking for more support and comfort in their shots. Some seek more distance, others more control, or simply a better feel at the club. The new variants provide fresh options without losing sight of design. They complete the series and ease entry into the ZXi iron world, combining a notably soft feel with high forgiveness.

Srixon: New Material, New Feel

At the core of the development is a new material: i-ALLOY. According to Srixon, it is about ten percent softer than typical 431 stainless steel, reducing vibrations and creating a softer impact feel. Combined with an updated face technology known as the MainFrame pattern, it delivers a smoother strike with increased ball speed. The redesigned face places the sweet spot exactly where most golfers need it.

Visually, the irons maintain their identity: cavity-back design and slim topline – the new irons bear the signature ZXi look with some modifications. Wider soles, longer faces, and more offset aim to provide better feel and confidence at address. The HL version is designed for players with slower swing speeds, focusing on higher launch angles for those needing extra help getting the ball airborne.

Fitting and Selection – Beyond Standard

The ZXi family now includes seven models, offering suitable clubs for nearly every swing profile. Like previous models, the ZXiR irons emphasize versatility. With shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and numerous customization possibilities, the series provides everything club fitters and players need to optimize their setups. The new irons are available for pre-order through fittings starting December 4, 2025, with official sales beginning February 6, 2026. The price for a set of six irons is 1,049 euros, available in both steel and graphite shaft versions.
