New Scotty Cameron Phantom Putter Delivers Maximum Versatility

The new Scotty Cameron Phantom combines a soft feel with precise distance control and offers multiple configuration options.

Precision and Distance Control: The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Generation

With the 2026 Phantom series, Scotty Cameron raises his mallet putters to a new level of performance. Developed with intensive feedback from tour players and the highest manufacturing precision, Titleist presents a completely redesigned Phantom family characterized by a softer feel, more precise distance control, and a noticeable boost in confidence at setup.

At the heart of the new line are three tour-inspired head shapes: Phantom 5, Phantom 7, and Phantom 9R. Overall, nine model, shaft, and hosel combinations ensure optimal engagement for a wide variety of player profiles and putting strokes. The result is the most versatile Phantom generation to date.

New Core: Studio Carbon Steel and Maximum Configurability

All 2026 Phantom mallets feature a full-face Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert. The new chain-link milling reduces contact points between the clubface and ball, delivering a particularly soft sound, short impact tone, and sensitive feedback without sacrificing ball speed. The higher carbon content significantly dampens vibrations compared to previous metal inserts.

Additionally, Scotty Cameron expands the range of shaft and hosel options: Plumbing and Jet Neck, Mid and Double-Bend, as well as the new Onset-Center (OC) Low-Torque configuration. The new Phantom 5 OC, in particular, targets players with a straight, square putting style seeking minimal shaft torque. The new Double-Bend shafts in the Phantom 7 offer a more face-balanced feel and a changed aesthetic.

Tour-Inspired Design for Greater Stability at Setup

Fine but decisive design adjustments define the new Phantom series. Higher clubfaces and modified crowns create a smoother radius along the topline and improve visual alignment.

The sole construction has also been revised: a flatter sole with a larger surface area facilitates setting the putter down. The putter rests more stably on the ground, regardless of hand position or setup—a clear advantage for consistency and repeatability.

The modified Jet Neck hosel on the .5 models appears visually subtler, is designed longer, yet still provides the same offset and toe flow as the previous generation.

Model Overview: Three Shapes, Many Options

Phantom 5

The classic among mallets: compact, modern, and proven on the professional tours for years.
The new Phantom 5 features a single alignment line and is available for the first time in the OC version with a low-torque design.
Models: Phantom 5, 5.2, 5.5, 5 OC

Phantom 7

Edgy wingback design with extended sole area and rail-like alignment aid. Compared to the Phantom 5, the Phantom 7 has a larger, further rearward extended sole. New in 2026: the Double-Bend shaft for a stronger face-balanced feel.
