The new Scotty Cameron Phantom offers maximum versatility

The new Scotty Cameron Phantom combines a soft feel with precise distance control and offers multiple configuration options.

Precision and Distance Control: The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Generation

With the 2026 Phantom series, Scotty Cameron elevates its mallet putters to a new level of performance. Developed based on extensive tour player feedback and crafted with utmost precision, Titleist presents a completely revamped Phantom family featuring a softer feel, more precise distance control, and a noticeable boost in confidence at address.

At the core of the new line are three tour-inspired head shapes: Phantom 5, Phantom 7, and Phantom 9R. A total of nine model, shaft, and hosel combinations ensure optimal fit for a wide range of player types and putting strokes. The result is the most versatile Phantom generation to date.

New Core: Studio Carbon Steel and Maximum Customizability

All 2026 Phantom mallets are equipped with a full-face Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert. The new chain-link milling pattern reduces contact points between face and ball, producing a softer sound, shorter impact note, and sensitive feedback without sacrificing ball speed. The higher carbon content significantly dampens vibrations compared to previous metal inserts.

Additionally, Scotty Cameron expands shaft and hosel options: plumbing and jet neck, mid- and double-bend shafts, plus for the first time, the Onset-Center (OC) low-torque configuration. The new Phantom 5 OC is designed especially for players with a straight, square putting stroke seeking minimal shaft twist. The Phantom 7’s new double-bend shafts offer a more face-balanced feel as well as a changed visual appearance.

Tour-Inspired Design for More Stability at Setup

Subtle but key design tweaks characterize the new Phantom series. Higher faces and modified crowns create a smoother topline radius and improve visual alignment.

Sole construction is also revised: a flatter sole with increased surface area makes it easier to set the putter down. The putter sits more stable on the ground regardless of hand position or setup, a clear advantage for consistency and repeatability.

The updated jet neck hosel of the .5 models appears more subtle, is longer, yet maintains the same offset and toe flow as the previous generation.
