Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with the new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for an easier playing experience.

Cobra extends its KING series with two new irons: the KING and KING MAX. These modern clubs combine innovative technologies to deliver higher ball flight, increased distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and optimized sole, the new models simplify the game, support controlled shots, and offer options to maximize performance for every player type on the green.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement Through Modern Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- to high-handicap players by incorporating technologies designed to make the game easier: higher ball launch, more distance, enhanced forgiveness, and a more stable impact feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. Its delicate lattice structure saves weight and redistributes it within the clubhead, lowering the center of gravity by about two millimeters. This results in a higher ball launch and steeper descent onto the green, improving control and stopping power, making it easier to hit greens.

Increased Speed Without Sacrificing Feel

The 360 Speedshell face provides more flex across the entire hitting area, ensuring consistent ball speeds even on off-center hits. This is supported by an 80-gram catapult weight housed in a vibration-damping polymer, offering not only more consistent distance but also a solid, pleasant impact feel with balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The updated Skid Sole design features a pre-sanded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole, allowing the club to glide more smoothly through the turf. This reduces resistance at impact, improves turf interaction, and further supports the clubhead’s low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with moderate swing speeds and handicaps roughly between 10 and 20 who seek maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX offers more offset, weaker lofts, and enhanced stability on toe or heel strikes, ideal for players wanting higher ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum assistance.

Market Launch and Pricing

The Cobra KING irons will be available in European markets starting February 3. Both models are priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts.
