Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for easier play.

Cobra introduces the new KING and KING MAX irons, combining innovative technologies for higher ball flight, more distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. With a lower center of gravity, flexible face, and optimized sole, these models simplify the game, support controlled shots, and offer different options to maximize performance on the green for all player types.

Cobra KING Irons: Improving Play with Advanced Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- to high-handicap players, focusing on technologies for higher launches, greater distance, improved forgiveness, and stable feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series, strategically saving and redistributing weight in the clubhead. This lowers the center of gravity by about two millimeters, resulting in a higher ball launch and steeper descent, enhancing control and stopping power to make hitting greens easier.

Enhanced Speed with Consistent Feel

The 360 Speedshell face flexes more across the entire surface, maintaining ball speed even on off-center hits. An 80-gram catapult weight housed in vibration-dampening polymer provides consistent distance and a solid, pleasant feel with balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The redesigned Skid Sole features a pre-rounded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole, allowing smoother turf contact. This reduces resistance at impact, enhances turf interaction, and supports the clubhead’s low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron is designed for players with higher swing speeds and handicaps around 10 to 20 seeking speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX offers more offset, weaker lofts, and extra stability on toe or heel hits, ideal for players desiring high ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum support.

Release and Pricing

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in European markets on February 3rd, priced at €999 for a six-iron set with steel or graphite shafts.
