Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for an easier playing experience.

Cobra adds two new models to its KING family, combining innovative technologies to deliver higher ball flight, increased distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lowered center of gravity and a flexible face to an optimized sole design, these irons make the game easier and offer tailored options for different playing styles to maximize performance on the greens.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement Through Advanced Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- to high-handicap players, focusing on features that enhance playability: higher launch, more distance, greater forgiveness, and a consistently stable feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series with a delicate lattice structure that saves weight and redistributes it within the clubhead. This shifts the center of gravity about two millimeters lower, resulting in higher ball launch and steeper landing angles for better control and stopping power on the greens.

More Speed with Consistent Feel

The 360 SpeedShell face flexes more uniformly across the clubface, maintaining ball speed even on off-center hits. An 80-gram catapult weight, mounted in a vibration-damping polymer, enhances distance consistency while delivering a solid, pleasant feel and balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The redesigned Skid Sole features a pre-rounded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole, enabling smoother turf interaction, reduced resistance at impact, and further support of the low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with swing speeds and handicaps around 10 to 20, seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX offers increased offset, weaker lofts, and added stability on toe and heel strikes, ideal for players desiring higher ball flight, draw bias, and maximal support.

Release and Pricing

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in European markets from February 3rd, priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts.
