Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for easier play.

Cobra has added the new KING and KING MAX irons to its KING family. These modern irons combine innovative technologies for higher ball flight, more distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and optimized sole, the new models make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer options to maximize performance on the green for every type of player.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement through Modern Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid to high handicap players. The focus is on technologies that make the game easier: higher ball launch, greater distance, enhanced forgiveness, and an overall more stable feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature of the new irons is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. The intricate lattice structure saves weight and redistributes it inside the clubhead. This lowers the center of gravity by about two millimeters, resulting in a higher ball launch and steeper landing angle on the green, improving control and stopping power.

Increased Speed with Consistent Feel

The 360 Speedshell face technology provides greater flex across the entire face, ensuring more consistent ball speeds even on off-center hits. This is supported by an 80-gram catapult weight suspended in a vibration-damping polymer. The result is more consistent distance along with a solid, pleasant feel and balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The redesigned skid sole includes a pre-rounded leading edge with additional bounce and a flatter mid-sole. This allows the club to glide more smoothly through turf, reducing resistance at impact and enhancing turf contact, complementing the low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with higher swing speeds and handicaps between 10 and 20 seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX offers more offset, weaker lofts, and extra stability on toe and heel strikes, ideal for players wanting higher ball flight, draw bias, and maximum support.

Release and Pricing

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in Europe starting February 3. Both models are priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts.
