Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf

Cobra expands its KING family with the new KING and KING MAX irons, featuring advanced technology for an easier playing experience.

Cobra has extended its KING family by introducing the new KING and KING MAX irons. These modern irons combine innovative technologies to achieve higher ball flight, greater distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible clubface and an optimized sole, these new models make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer different options to deliver maximum performance on the green for all player types.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement through Modern Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- and high-handicap players. Key technologies focus on making the game easier: higher launch, increased distance, enhanced forgiveness, and an overall more stable feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A central feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. Its fine lattice structure allows weight to be saved and redistributed in the clubhead. This lowers the center of gravity by approximately two millimeters, resulting in a higher ball launch and steeper descent onto the green, improving control and stopping power, making it easier to hit greens.

More Speed with Consistent Feel

To boost distance, Cobra uses a 360 Speedshell clubface that offers more flex across the entire face for consistent ball speeds—even on off-center hits. This is complemented by an 80-gram catapult weight mounted in a vibration-damping polymer. The result is not only more consistent distance but also a solid, pleasant feel with balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The updated Skid Sole design includes a pre-rounded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter mid-sole, allowing the club to glide smoothly through turf. This reduces resistance at impact, enhances turf interaction, and supports the low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with swing speeds and handicaps around 10-20 seeking speed and forgiveness. The KING MAX is larger, with more offset, weaker lofts, and extra stability on toe and heel strikes, perfect for players desiring higher ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum assistance.

Launch and Pricing

The Cobra KING irons will be available in Europe starting February 3rd. The price for each set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts is 999 euros.
