Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for easier play.

Cobra introduces its new KING and KING MAX irons that combine innovative technologies to deliver higher ball flight, increased distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. Key features include a lower center of gravity, flexible clubface, and optimized sole design to ease play, support controlled shots, and offer tailored options for every player to maximize performance on the green.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement Through Modern Technology

Targeted at mid- to high-handicap players, the new KING and KING MAX irons focus on making the game easier with higher launch, more distance, enhanced forgiveness, and a solid, stable feel on every strike.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A central innovation is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. Its intricate lattice structure allows weight saving and redistribution within the clubhead, lowering the center of gravity by about two millimeters, resulting in higher ball launch and steeper landing angles for better control and stopping power on the greens.

Greater Speed with Consistent Feel

The 360 Speedshell clubface flexes more uniformly across the entire face to ensure consistent ball speed, even on off-center hits. Complementing this is an 80-gram catapult weight housed in a vibration-damping polymer, which enhances distance consistency while delivering a solid, pleasant feel and balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The refined Skid Sole features a pre-rounded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole to glide smoothly through turf, reducing resistance at impact and supporting the low center of gravity for cleaner contact.

Two Models for Different Player Needs

The KING iron suits players with swing speeds and handicaps in the 10-20 range seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX offers more offset, weaker lofts, and enhanced stability on toe and heel strikes, ideal for players desiring higher ball flight, draw bias, and maximum support.

Market Launch and Pricing

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in Europe from February 3. Both models are priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons, available with steel or graphite shafts.
