Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for an easier play experience.

Cobra expands its KING family with the new KING and KING MAX irons. These modern irons combine innovative technologies for higher ball flight, more distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and an optimized sole, the new models make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer different options to provide maximum performance on the green for every player type.

Cobra KING Irons: Enhanced Playability through Modern Technology

With the new KING and KING MAX irons, Cobra targets mid- and high-handicap players. The focus is on technologies that simplify the game: higher ball launch, more distance, enhanced forgiveness, and an overall more stable feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. The delicate lattice structure saves weight that is redistributed in the clubhead. As a result, the center of gravity is about two millimeters lower, directly impacting play: the ball launches higher and lands steeper on the green, improving control and stopping power, making it easier to hit greens.

More Speed with Consistent Feel

Cobra also enhances distance through the 360 SpeedShell face that flexes more across the entire clubface, maintaining consistent ball speed even on off-center hits. This is supported by an 80-gram catapult weight housed in a vibration-damping polymer. The result is not only more consistent distance but also a solid, pleasant feel with balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with Refined Sole

The updated Skid Sole design features a pre-ground leading edge with added bounce and a flatter mid-sole, allowing the club to glide cleaner through the turf. This reduces resistance at impact, improves turf interaction, and further supports the low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Needs

The KING iron suits players with higher swing speeds and handicaps around 10 to 20 seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX iron offers more offset, weaker lofts, and enhanced stability on toe and heel strikes, making it ideal for players desiring higher ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum support.

Release and Price

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in European retail starting February 3rd. Both models are priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts.
