Callaway has released its new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls and officially introduced the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The range includes the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models, targeting ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale begins January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
The core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that enhances ball speed and distance. The goal is to deliver consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which, according to Callaway, provides a high, stable ball flight and exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot. Another key feature is the Precision Technology, a holistic development approach aligning design, manufacturing, and testing in detail. The result is a golf ball that delivers reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane cover, providing high control and feel especially in short game shots. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin on long shots with high spin around the green and excellent workability. The Chrome Tour X caters to players who prefer a firmer ball feel, focusing on control, consistency, and playability with a design optimized for maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball. It maintains its reputation for outstanding tour performance paired with an exceptionally soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, developed for high spin rates in the short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft appeals to players who prefer a softer feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will be sold at 65€ per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway emphasizes its commitment to delivering advanced golf ball technology for the highest performance demands—differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
