Callaway has released the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially launching the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The lineup features the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models, specifically targeting ambitious golfers who value tour performance, consistent ball flights, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6th at 3 PM, with worldwide availability from January 30th, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, an optimized core and layer system that boosts ball speed and adds extra distance. The goal is to provide a consistent performance level across all clubs. This concept is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which, according to Callaway, delivers a high, stable ball flight along with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another key component is the Precision Technology, a holistic development approach aligning design, manufacturing, and testing in detail. The result is a golf ball that produces reproducible results and offers players maximum reliability during play.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls firmly placed in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover, which provides a high degree of control and feel especially around the greens. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin in long shots with high spin around the green and excellent workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a slightly firmer ball feel. Control, consistency, and playability remain the focus, complemented by a design aimed at maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball, maintaining its known promise of combining outstanding tour performance with an exceptionally soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, developed for high spin rates on short shots and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft caters to players preferring a soft feel without compromising performance.
Pricing and Availability
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will be priced at €65 per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway emphasizes its commitment to delivering cutting-edge golf ball technology meeting the highest performance demands—differentiated by player type but unified by speed, consistency, and precision.
