Callaway has launched the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls, including Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially introducing the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The portfolio now includes Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft, aimed at ambitious golfers seeking tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability from January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
The heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that enhances ball speed and distance. The goal is consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway says ensures a high, stable ball flight with exceptional consistency in flight and distance on every shot. Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are meticulously aligned. The result is a golf ball delivering reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls, clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover that offers high control and feel, especially around the greens. The Chrome Tour delivers a medium feel with low spin on long shots combined with high spin around the green and excellent workability. The Chrome Tour X is geared toward players who prefer a firmer ball character, focusing on control, consistency, and playability combined with a construction targeting maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
Completing the new family, the Chrome Soft is a 3-piece golf ball, maintaining its reputation for combining outstanding tour performance with a notably soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover for high spin rates in short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is aimed at players seeking a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail for €65 per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway emphasizes its commitment to providing the latest golf ball technology for top-level performance — differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
