Callaway has unveiled the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway officially introduced the 2026 generation of its premium golf balls, expanding its portfolio with the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models targeted at ambitious golfers seeking tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability from January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
The heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this innovation is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that delivers increased ball speed and added distance. The goal is to provide consistent performance across all clubs. This concept is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which according to Callaway ensures a high, stable ball flight along with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach that aligns design, manufacturing, and testing in detail. The result is a golf ball delivering reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Tour-Level Performance Details
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover, providing excellent control and feel especially in short game shots. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin on long shots with high spin around the green and exceptional workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players preferring a slightly firmer ball characteristic, emphasizing control, consistency, and playability, with a construction geared for maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the new family as a 3-piece golf ball, maintaining its renowned combination of outstanding tour performance and a particularly soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, engineered for high spin rates in short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft suits players who desire a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail for 65€ per dozen. With the 2026 Chrome Family, Callaway emphasizes its commitment to providing cutting-edge golf ball technology for the highest performance demands — differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
