Callaway has launched the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls, including Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially introducing the Chrome Tour Family 2026. With models Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft, the manufacturer expands its portfolio targeting ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale begins on January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
The core of the new Chrome Tour Family lies in Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this is the new Tour Fast Mantle, utilizing an optimized core and layer system to increase ball speed and add distance. The goal is to deliver consistent performance across all clubs. This concept is supported by Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which, according to Callaway, ensures high, stable ball flight and exceptional flight and length consistency on every shot.
Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are meticulously coordinated. The outcome is a ball delivering repeatable results and providing players with maximum reliability during play.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls positioned firmly within the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane cover that offers high control and feel, especially in short games. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin off the tee with high spin around the greens and excellent workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players preferring a slightly firmer ball feel. It also emphasizes control, consistency, and playability, enhanced by a design focused on maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball, maintaining its renowned balance of outstanding tour performance with a notably soft feel. Callaway uses a urethane cover here as well, crafted for high spin rates in short games and precise control in approach shots. The Chrome Soft appeals to players seeking a soft feel without compromising performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail for €65 per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway reinforces its commitment to providing cutting-edge golf ball technology for the highest performance demands—differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
