WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the Farmers Insurance Open 2026

From driver to putter: A close look inside Justin Rose’s bag reveals the clubs that helped him achieve a record win at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated the competition at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-shot lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look into his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively showcased in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Callaway Driver

Off the tee, Justin Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin, without sacrificing the forgiving benefits of the “Max” design. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability through the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots across the surface. This stabilizes spin and launch angles on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Similar to the M5 series, it features Twist-Face technology, delivering explosive shots from the turf or tee. An advanced Speed Pocket in the sole increases the flex of the clubface, enhancing the trampoline effect at impact and transferring more energy over a larger area of the ball. The result is higher, longer shots with less loss of distance on imperfect contact.

Additionally, Rose carries a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. It produces a high ball flight for soft landings on the green and is particularly effective from the rough. This model was recently introduced but already popular among many touring professionals.

The Irons and Wedges Combining Control and Feel

For irons, Rose opts for 4 or 5 utility irons from the Japanese brand Miura’s TC-502 series depending on course conditions. Regular irons (6–PW) are also Miura, the MC-502 model. The key difference is that TC models are Tour Cavity backs for better players, offering more forgiveness and higher launch, while MC models are Muscle Cavity, akin to blades, featuring compact heads for maximum control and feel but requiring precise strikes.

His wedges are from the traditional manufacturer Titleist, choosing either Vokey Design SM10 with 52° or 56° loft, or a Vokey Design WedgeWorks with 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron putter from Carlsbad, California — the Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype. Not yet available for retail and in testing with Rose since September 2025, the mallet-style putter is made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. Like many of his tour mates, Rose uses the Titleist Pro V
