WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the Farmers Insurance Open 2026

From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs that helped him to a record win at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at the Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. Securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record 23-under par, the South African-born player showcased a versatile club selection matching his impressive play in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver: A Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max

Justin Rose tees off with a Callaway driver featuring a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, compact head shape, and low spin while benefiting from the forgiveness of the “Max” design. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability via the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots to stabilize spin and launch angles on off-center hits. Rose achieved a max driving distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) at the Farmers Insurance Open with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood lofted at 15°, featuring Twist-Face technology for explosive shots from both the fairway and tee. An evolved Speed Pocket design increases clubface flexibility and trampoline effect, enabling faster ball speed on low strikes and delivering longer, higher shots with less distance loss on imperfect contact. He also uses a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood lofted at 21°, perfect for mid-to-long approach shots with a high ball flight that provides soft landings on the green, especially from the rough. The QiD4 model is recently introduced but popular among many tour pros.

Miura Irons Offering Control and Feel

Depending on course conditions, Rose opts for a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series. For his regular irons (6-PW), he also uses Miura, specifically the MC-502 models. The TC series are tour cavity irons with better forgiveness and higher launch, while the MC are muscle cavity (muscle-back) irons offering maximum control and feel but requiring precision strikes. For wedges, Rose relies on Titleist Vokey Design, using either SM10 models with 52° or 56° loft or a WedgeWorks model with 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter from Carlsbad, California. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing this mallet-style putter made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum since September 2025. For golf balls, he, like many tour colleagues, prefers the Titleist Pro V1x.
