From driver to putter: a look into Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.
At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated the field at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A closer look into his bag reveals a versatile club selection that matched his impressive performance in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Choice of Driver: Callaway
Justin Rose tees off with a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max driver, featuring 9° loft. Known for high performance, it offers experienced players maximum control, a compact head shape, and low spin, while maintaining forgiveness with its ‘Max’ design. The Ai Smart Face technology optimizes the clubface using real player data, creating multiple sweet spots across the face to stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Fairway Woods for Versatile Shots
Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with 15° loft, which incorporates Twist-Face technology for powerful shots from both the tee and the ground. The improved Speed Pocket flexes the clubface for enhanced trampoline effect, delivering longer, higher shots with less penalty on mishits. Additionally, Rose uses a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the greens, especially useful from the rough. The QiD4, recently introduced, has already become popular among many touring pros.
Irons Combining Control and Feel
For irons, Rose chooses Miura clubs tailored to course conditions, selecting either a 4 or 5 iron from the TC-502 Utility series. His standard irons (6-PW) are from Miura’s MC-502 line. The TC series features tour cavity-back irons providing forgiveness and a higher launch, while the MC series are muscle-back blades offering maximum precision and feel but demanding exact strikes. This combination enables Rose to adapt his iron play dynamically throughout rounds.
Rose’s wedges are from Titleist’s Vokey line, alternating between SM10 models with 52° or 56° loft, or the WedgeWorks with 60° loft, trusted for their versatility around the greens. His final club is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum in a mallet design, which Rose has tested since September 2025 but is not yet commercially available. Like many tour pros, he relies on the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball to complete his setup.
