From driver to putter: we take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45, Englishman Justin Rose left his competitors no chance at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player claimed his first title of the season. A look inside his bag shows that his club selection is as versatile as his game, which he impressively demonstrated in Southern California.
Justin Rose Trusts Callaway for His Driver
Off the tee, Justin Rose starts with a Callaway driver featuring a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club for experienced players seeking maximum control, compact head design, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiving benefits of the “Max” construction. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability through Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and creates multiple “sweet spots” across the face. This stabilizes spin and launch angle even on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Supplementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology similar to the M5 series for explosive shots from both the turf and tee. An evolution of the Speed Pocket—a sole cutout—allows the ball to accelerate even on low-face strikes. The Speed Pocket enhances face flexibility, amplifies the trampoline effect on impact, and transfers more energy over a larger ball area, resulting in higher, longer shots with less distance loss on off-center contact.
Also in Rose’s bag is a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for medium to long approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures a soft landing on the green and is especially effective for shots from the rough. The QiD4 is a newly introduced model already popular among many pros.
Justin Rose’s Irons Combine Control and Feel
For irons, Rose chooses either a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series, depending on course conditions. His standard irons (6–PW) are also Miura, model MC-502. The key difference is that TC models are Tour-Cavity irons, while MC models are Muscle-Cavity irons. Muscle-back (blade) irons offer maximum control and intense ball feel through compact heads but require precise strikes. Cavity-back irons (often “Tour Cavity” for better players) feature a back cavity redistributing weight to the perimeter, providing more forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.
Rose trusts wedges from the traditional brand Titleist, using either Vokey Design SM10 with 52° or 56° loft or Vokey Design WedgeWorks with 60° loft.
The final club in Rose’s bag hails from Carlsbad, California: a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5
