WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: a look inside Justin Rose’s bag reveals the clubs that helped him set a tournament record at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look into his bag shows a club selection as versatile as his game, impressively demonstrated in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver: Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max

Starting off from the tee, Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club favored by experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiveness benefits of the ‘Max’ design. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability through Ai Smart Face technology, which utilizes real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots across the surface. This technology stabilizes spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a max drive length of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Supporting his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Like the M5 series, it features Twist-Face technology that enables explosive shots from both the ground and the tee. An enhanced Speed Pocket— a cutout in the sole—increases face flexibility for a trampoline effect at impact, transferring more energy across a larger area of the ball for higher, longer shots with less distance loss on mishits.

Additionally, Rose uses a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for medium to long approach shots. Its high ball flight promotes a soft landing on the green and works well from the rough. The QiD4 is a recent TaylorMade innovation already popular among professionals.

Irons, Wedges, and Putter: Precision and Feel

Rose selects his irons based on course conditions, choosing either a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series. For standard irons (6–PW), he uses Miura MC-502 models. The TC models have a tour cavity back design offering more forgiveness and higher ball flights, while the MC series features muscle back (blade) irons favored for control and feel but require precise strikes.

For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist, alternating between Vokey Design SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° lofts and a Vokey Design WedgeWorks 60° loft wedge.

Finally, in the putting department, Rose tested the Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter—a mallet-style club made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum—since September 2025. Not yet commercially available, it comes from Carlsbad, California. Like many tour pros, Rose uses the Titleist Pro V1x ball.
