WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs behind his record victory at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated the competition at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. Securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born star demonstrated versatile club selection that matched his impressive play in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway

Off the tee, Rose relies on a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players who seek maximum control, a compact head, and low spin, without sacrificing forgiveness. It combines tour-tested performance with enhanced stability thanks to the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and creates multiple sweet spots across the face. This stabilizes spin and launch angles even on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose uses a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Like the M5 series, it features Twist-Face technology, delivering explosive shots off the turf or tee. An evolved Speed Pocket—a cutout on the sole—increases clubface flexibility, enhancing trampolining effect at impact and transferring more energy to a larger part of the ball. The result is higher, longer shots with less distance loss on off-center hits.

Also in his bag is a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft. This wood is ideal for mid-to-long approach shots, offering a high ball flight for soft greenside landings and excellent performance from the rough. The QiD4, recently introduced, has quickly become a favorite among professionals.

Irons That Combine Control and Feel

Depending on course conditions, Rose chooses a 4 or 5-iron from the Japanese brand Miura’s TC-502 Utility iron series. For his standard irons (6-PW), he uses Miura MC-502 irons. The TC-502 series features Tour Cavity irons, while the MC-502 series includes Muscle Cavity irons. Muscle-back (blade) irons offer maximum control and a premium feel through compact heads but require precise strikes. Tour Cavity irons have cavity backs that redistribute weight to the perimeter, providing greater forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.

For wedges, Rose trusts the legendary Titleist brand. He alternates between Vokey Design SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° lofts, and the Vokey Design WedgeWorks with 60° loft.

The last club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron putter from Carlsbad, California. The Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype is not yet commercially available and has been tested by Rose since September 2025. Made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, it features a mallet design. Like many
