WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag to reveal the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.

At 45, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at the Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour, securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record 23 under par. A look into his bag shows a club selection as versatile as his game, impressively demonstrated in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s Driver: Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max

Off the tee, Rose uses a Callaway driver lofted at 9°. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head, and low spin without sacrificing the forgiveness of the Max construction. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability thanks to the Ai Smart Face, a technology using real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots across the surface. This stabilizes spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Similar to the M5 series, it features Twist-Face technology for explosive shots from the fairway or tee. The Speed Pocket, a sole cutout, improves ball speed on low-face strikes by increasing the face flexibility and trampoline effect at impact, transferring more energy across a larger ball surface area. This results in higher, longer shots with less loss on mis-hits.

Additionally, Rose’s bag includes a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood lofted at 21°, ideal for mid to long approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the green and performs well from rough. The QiD4 is a recent TaylorMade release already popular with many pros.

Irons Combining Control and Feel

Rose selects utility irons based on course conditions, choosing either a 4 or 5 iron from Japanese maker Miura’s TC-502 series. For his standard irons (6-PW), he also uses Miura’s MC-502 irons. The TC models are tour cavity backs, while the MC models are muscle cavity irons. Muscle-back blades offer maximum control and intense ball feel with compact heads but require precise strikes. In contrast, cavity backs feature a cutout behind the face shifting weight to the perimeter, providing greater forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight.

For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s traditional craftsmanship, alternating between Vokey Design SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° loft and Vokey Design WedgeWorks wedges with 60° loft.

Lastly, Rose’s putter is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype from Carlsbad, California, a mallet design currently unavailable commercially and tested by Rose since September 2025. Made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, this putter complements his choice of the
