From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag and reveal the clubs that powered his record win at Torrey Pines.
Even at 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose left his competitors far behind at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look into his bag shows a versatile club selection matching his impressive performance in Southern California.
Justin Rose’s Driver Choice: Callaway
Off the tee, Rose uses a Callaway driver with a 9° loft. The Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max is a high-performance club designed for seasoned players seeking maximum control, a compact clubhead, and low spin while benefiting from the forgiving “Max” construction. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability through the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple “sweet spots” across the face. This helps stabilize spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver.
Fairway Woods for Every Shot
Complementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft featuring Twist-Face technology, delivering explosive shots from the turf or tee. An improved Speed Pocket cut in the sole helps accelerate the ball even on low strikes by increasing clubface flexibility, enhancing the trampoline effect at impact, and transferring more energy across a larger area on the ball. The result is higher, longer shots with less loss on imperfect hits.
Rose also carries a 7-wood from TaylorMade with a 21° loft, ideal for mid-to-long approach shots. Its high ball flight aids a soft landing on the green and suits shots from the rough. This club is the recently introduced TaylorMade QiD4, already popular among many pros.
Irons and Control: Justin Rose’s Selection
Rose opts for either a 4- or 5-utility iron from the Japanese maker Miura’s TC-502 series, depending on course conditions. His standard irons (6-PW) are also Miura, from the MC-502 line. The TC models are tour-cavity irons, while MC models are muscle-cavity. Muscle-back (blade) irons offer maximum control and feel through compact heads but require precise strikes. Cavity-back irons provide more forgiveness, a lower center of gravity, and higher ball flight due to weight distributed around the perimeter.
For wedges, Rose relies on Titleist’s traditional Vokey Design clubs, using either SM10 models with 52° or 56° lofts or a 60° Vokey Design WedgeWorks wedge.
The final club in Rose’s bag hails from Carlsbad, California—a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter not yet commercially available, which he has been testing since September 2025. Made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum, it features a mallet design. Like many of his tour
