WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: A look inside Justin Rose’s bag and the clubs that helped him set a record at Torrey Pines.

At 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose dominated his competitors at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. Securing his first title of the season with a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, Rose demonstrated exceptional versatility in his club selection and gameplay in Southern California.

Justin Rose Uses Callaway Driver

Rose tees off with a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max driver, featuring a 9° loft. This high-performance club is designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, compact clubhead shape, and low spin while benefiting from the forgiving “Max” construction. It combines tour-proven performance with enhanced stability from the Ai Smart Face technology, which optimizes the clubface using real player data to create multiple sweet spots. This stabilizes spin and launch angle on off-center hits. At the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum drive distance of 352 yards (approximately 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway Woods for Every Shot

Complementing his driver, Rose carries a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft. Like the M5 series, it features Twist-Face technology for explosive shots off the turf and tee. An enhanced Speed Pocket in the sole increases face flexibility and the trampoline effect at impact, transferring more energy to a larger area of the ball for higher, longer shots with less distance loss on mishits.

Rose also uses a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with a 21° loft, ideal for medium to long approach shots. Its high ball flight ensures soft landings on the green and works well from rough lies. This new model, recently introduced, is already popular among many professional players.

Irons Combining Control and Feel

Depending on course conditions, Rose opts for a 4 or 5 utility iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 series. For his standard irons (6–PW), he uses Miura MC-502 irons. The TC models are Tour Cavity irons providing more forgiveness through a cavity back design, while the MC models are Muscle Cavity (Blade) irons offering maximum control and intense ball feel with compact heads, demanding precise strikes.

For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s traditional Vokey Design. He carries Vokey SM10 wedges with 52° or 56° lofts and a Vokey WedgeWorks with 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag is a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter from Carlsbad, California. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing it since September 2025. Made of 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, it features a mallet design. Like many of his tour peers, Rose plays with a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball.
