Wilson introduces their most forgiving driver yet: the Dynapwr Max+. Designed for all players and maximum control. With the expansion of the DYNAPWR series, Wilson Golf launches a new driver characterized by maximum forgiveness and stability: the DYNAPWR Max+ driver.
Focus on Stability and Customization at Wilson
The key feature of the DYNAPWR Max+ is its extremely high moment of inertia (MOI), surpassing 10,000 for the first time, providing greater clubhead stability at impact and thus straighter drives and more consistent ball flights even on off-center hits. According to Wilson, the high MOI was achieved without increasing the total mass of the clubhead. The goal was to combine stability and forgiveness with high clubhead and ball speeds.
To accommodate different player types, the driver is highly adjustable. A six-way adjustable hosel and a movable weight in the rear of the clubhead allow for individual tuning of launch angle and spin.
New Face Technology and Aerodynamics
The performance of the DYNAPWR Max+ is based on an advanced PKR360 face design (Peak Kinetic Response), emphasizing improved heel performance without compromising speed or consistency across the entire face.
Compared to previous DYNAPWR models, face insert control has been significantly enhanced. Thanks to a lighter and more precisely manufactured face, around five grams of weight were saved and strategically relocated to the rear of the clubhead. This weight distribution significantly contributes to the high MOI. At the same time, manufacturing accuracy was further optimized to maximize ball speed within USGA limits. Aerodynamic-inspired surfaces additionally aim to increase clubhead speed.
Optimized Geometry and Clubhead Shape with Enhanced Sound
For greater consistency on off-center hits, the DYNAPWR Max+ features an adapted bulge and roll geometry. A rounder face supports better control of the gear effect, stabilizing spin and distance even on mishits.
The driver is equipped with a lightweight carbon crown and features a newly designed clubhead shape with increased usable volume. A lower crown height and reduced face mass provide additional freedom for weight distribution, especially around the outer areas of the clubhead, further enhancing forgiveness.
Visually, the Max+ also appeals to skilled players. A pronounced toe flare aims to provide more visual confidence at address without compromising clubhead stability.
