The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Putter Offers Maximum Versatility

The new Scotty Cameron Phantom combines a soft feel with precise distance control and offers multiple configuration options.

Precision and Distance Control: The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Generation

For 2026, Scotty Cameron elevates its mallet putters to a new level with the Phantom series. Developed with intensive feedback from tour players and crafted with the highest manufacturing precision, Titleist presents a completely redesigned Phantom family, featuring a softer feel, more precise distance control, and increased confidence at setup.

The new lineup centers around three tour-inspired head shapes: Phantom 5, Phantom 7, and Phantom 9R. A total of nine model, shaft, and hosel combinations ensure optimal fit for diverse player profiles and putting strokes. The result is the most versatile Phantom generation yet.

New Core: Studio Carbon Steel and Maximum Configurability

All 2026 Phantom mallets feature a full-face Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert. The new chain-link milling reduces contact points between clubface and ball, delivering a particularly soft sound, a short impact tone, and sensitive feedback without sacrificing ball speed. The higher carbon content significantly dampens vibrations compared to previous metal inserts.

Scotty Cameron also expands shaft and hosel options: plumbing and jet neck, mid and double bend, plus for the first time the Onset-Center (OC) low-torque configuration. The new Phantom 5 OC especially targets players with a straight, square putting stroke seeking minimal shaft twist. The Phantom 7’s new double-bend shafts offer a more face-balanced feel and a different look.

Tour-Inspired Design for Greater Stability at Setup

Subtle but crucial design tweaks shape the new Phantom series. Taller faces and modified crowns create a smoother topline radius and improve visual alignment.

The sole construction is also revamped: A flatter sole with a larger contact area makes it easier to set the putter down. The putter sits more stable on the ground regardless of hand position or setup, providing clear benefits for consistency and repeatability.

The modified jet neck hosel on the .5 models appears more subtle visually, is longer, yet maintains the same offset and toe flow as the previous generation.
