The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Putter for Maximum Versatility

The new Scotty Cameron Phantom combines soft feel with precise distance control and offers multiple configuration options.

Precision and Distance Control: The New Scotty Cameron Phantom Generation

With the 2026 Phantom series, Scotty Cameron elevates its mallet putters to a new level of performance. Based on intensive feedback from tour players and crafted with the highest manufacturing precision, Titleist presents a fully redesigned Phantom family characterized by a softer feel, more precise distance control, and a noticeable confidence boost in the setup.

The new line features three tour-inspired head shapes: Phantom 5, Phantom 7, and Phantom 9R. A total of nine model, shaft, and hosel combinations ensure that a wide variety of player profiles and putting strokes are optimally matched. The result: the most versatile Phantom generation ever.

New Core: Studio Carbon Steel and Maximum Configurability

All 2026 Phantom mallets are equipped with a full-face Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert. The new chain-link milling reduces contact points between the face and ball, providing an exceptionally soft sound, short impact tone, and sensitive feedback without compromising ball speed. The increased carbon content dampens vibrations significantly more than previous metal inserts.

Additionally, Scotty Cameron expands the selection of shaft and hosel options: plumbing and jet neck, mid- and double-bend, and for the first time, the Onset-Center-(OC) low-torque configuration. The new Phantom 5 OC is especially aimed at players with a straight, square putting stroke seeking minimal shaft twist. The new double-bend shafts in the Phantom 7 offer a stronger face-balanced feel and a changed aesthetic.

Tour-Inspired Design for Greater Stability in Setup

Subtle but important design adjustments define the new Phantom series. Higher faces and modified crowns create a smoother topline radius and improve visual alignment.

The sole design has also been revised: a flatter sole with an enlarged contact area makes it easier to set the putter down. The putter sits more stably on the ground regardless of hand position or setup, offering a clear advantage for consistency and repeatability.

The modified jet neck hosel on the .5 models is visually subtler, longer, yet provides the same offset and toe flow as the previous generation.
