Three new Scotty Cameron putters: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design combine classic looks with advanced face technology.
Titleist’s Carlsbad-based subsidiary introduces three new models in their Studio-Style putter lineup. The Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design aim to complete the range within the putter family, extending Scotty Cameron’s series of blades and mid-mallets. These putters are designed for different toe-flow profiles and putting strokes.
The Studio-Style line merges classic Scotty Cameron blade shapes with newly developed mid-mallet constructions. The focus is on the evolution of familiar designs enhanced by technical modifications targeting controlled feel and consistent ball speeds. A key feature is the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern, which influences sound and vibration on impact without compromising feedback or ball launch consistency.
New Scotty Cameron Studio-Style Putters
The Santa Fe model revisits a decades-old design, resembling the Newport shape with a curved hosel that produces pronounced toe flow, benefiting players with a distinctly arced putting stroke and enhancing face angle awareness throughout the stroke. This classic look is updated with modern manufacturing and current face technology.
The Fastback 2 is a compact mid-mallet based on the previous Studio-Style Fastback. It features a plumbing neck hosel to moderate toe flow, encouraging a slightly inside-to-inside putting path. The head combines a milled steel body with a black anodized aluminum inlay between heel and toe, increasing perimeter weighting and serving as an alignment aid. This model is available for left-handed players as well.
The Fastback 2 Long Design is a longer, heavier version sharing the head shape and hosel with the standard Fastback 2 but built for extra stability. Measuring 38 inches long, it includes increased head weight via tungsten sole weights, a longer straight grip, and a stiffer shaft, designed for players seeking a smoother, more consistent putting stroke. Left-handed versions are also offered.
Face and Design: Emphasis on Feedback and Control
All Studio-Style putters feature the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern. Internal tests favored carbon steel over other materials due to reduced vibration duration on impact, producing a short, controlled sound while maintaining consistent ball speeds. A nickel coating protects the insert and adds durability. The milling pattern reduces ball-to-face contact points, further damping sound.
The Santa Fe and Fastback 2 models come in standard lengths of 33, 34, and 35 inches and retail at €529. The Fastback 2 Long Design is exclusively 38 inches long and priced at €599. These new Studio-Style putters have been available since February 12 in golf retailers.
