Three new Scotty Cameron putters: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design combine classic design and modern face technology.
The Carlsbad, California-based subsidiary of Titleist introduces three new putter models in its Studio-Style collection. The Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design complete the lineup, complementing Scotty Cameron’s series of blades and mid-mallets, catering to different toe-flow profiles and putting strokes.
The Studio-Style line marries classic blade shapes with newly developed mid-mallet constructions, focusing on evolved designs enhanced with technical adjustments for controlled feel and consistent ball speeds. Central to the design is the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern, influencing sound and vibration without affecting feedback or ball roll consistency.
Scotty Cameron Studio-Style Putters: A Blend of Classic and Modern
The Santa Fe model revives a decades-old design inspired by the Newport head shape, featuring a bent hosel for pronounced toe flow, ideal for players with significant arc in their putting stroke. The traditional look is enhanced by modern manufacturing and cutting-edge face technology.
The Fastback 2 is a compact mid-mallet based on the previous Studio-Style Fastback, with a plumbing-neck hosel for moderate toe flow encouraging a slight inside-to-inside stroke path. It features a milled steel body complemented by a black anodized aluminum inlay between toe and heel that increases perimeter weighting and serves as an alignment aid. This model also comes in a left-handed version.
The Fastback 2 Long Design is a longer, heavier variant designed for enhanced stability. At 38 inches, it features tungsten sole weights, a longer straight grip, and a stiffer shaft to promote a smoother, steadier putting stroke, also available for lefties.
Face Technology and Design: Emphasis on Feedback and Control
All Studio-Style putters feature the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern selected after internal testing for reducing vibration duration, creating a short, controlled sound while supporting consistent ball speed. A nickel coating protects the insert, enhancing durability, and the milling pattern reduces contact points between ball and face to further dampen sound.
The Santa Fe and Fastback 2 come in standard lengths of 33, 34, and 35 inches, priced at €529 (MSRP), while the Fastback 2 Long Design is only available at 38 inches, priced at €599 (MSRP). These new Studio-Style putters have been available in golf retailers since February 12.
