Three new Scotty Cameron putters: Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design combine classic looks with modern face technology.
Based in Carlsbad, California, the Titleist subsidiary Scotty Cameron unveils three new putters in its Studio-Style family. The Santa Fe, Fastback 2, and Fastback 2 Long Design models complete the lineup of blades and mid-mallets, each engineered to suit different toe-flow profiles and putting strokes.
The Studio-Style line merges classic Scotty Cameron blade shapes with newly developed mid-mallet constructions, focusing on evolved designs enhanced by technical refinements aimed at controlled feel and consistent ball speeds. Central to these models is the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with a chain-link milling pattern, which affects sound and vibration at impact without altering feedback or ball roll consistency.
Three Distinct Models Tailored for Performance
The Santa Fe draws inspiration from the iconic Newport head shape, featuring a curved hosel that promotes a pronounced toe flow, ideal for players with an arcing putting stroke and better face angle awareness throughout the stroke. This classic design is updated with modern manufacturing and the latest face technology.
The Fastback 2 is a compact mid-mallet based on the prior Studio-Style Fastback. Its plumbing-neck hosel offers moderate toe flow favoring a slight inside-to-inside stroke path. The milled steel head is combined with a black anodized aluminum insert between the toe and heel to increase perimeter weighting and serve as an alignment aid. The Fastback 2 is also available for left-handed players.
The Fastback 2 Long Design is a longer, heavier variant of the Fastback 2 with the same head shape and hosel but enhanced for stability. Measuring 38 inches, it features tungsten sole weights for added mass, a longer straight grip, and a stiffer shaft targeting players seeking a steadier, more consistent stroke. Lefty options are offered as well.
Face Technology: Focus on Feedback and Control
All Studio-Style putters utilize the Studio Carbon Steel face insert with chain-link milling, preferred over other materials due to reduced vibration duration on impact, producing a muted, controlled sound. The material also supports uniform ball speed, with a nickel coating enhancing durability. The milling pattern reduces contact points between ball and face to further dampen sound.
The Santa Fe and Fastback 2 are available in standard 33, 34, and 35-inch lengths with a retail price of €529.00, while the Fastback 2 Long Design comes exclusively in 38 inches at €599.00. These new Studio-Style putters have been available since February 12 at golf retailers.
