Cobra expands the KING family with the new KING and KING MAX irons, featuring advanced technology for an easier playing experience.
Cobra adds two new models to its KING family aimed at mid- to high-handicap players, combining innovative technologies for higher ball flight, more distance, improved forgiveness, and a stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and optimized sole design, the new irons make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer options for every player type to maximize performance on the greens.
Cobra KING Irons: Enhancing Play with Modern Technology
The new KING and KING MAX irons focus on higher launch, more distance, better forgiveness, and a more stable feel to simplify the game for players with moderate swing speeds and handicaps around 10 to 20.
Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight
A key feature is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series, using a lattice structure to save weight and reposition it in the clubhead. This lowers the center of gravity by about two millimeters, resulting in a higher ball launch and steeper descent for better control and stopping power on the greens.
Increased Speed with Consistent Feel
The 360 Speedshell face flexes more across the entire hitting surface for consistent ball speeds, even on off-center hits. An 80-gram catapult weight, housed in a vibration-damping polymer, enhances distance and delivers a solid, pleasant feel with balanced sound.
Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design
The redesigned Skid Sole features a pre-rounded leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole, allowing the club to glide smoothly through the turf, reducing resistance at impact and supporting the low center of gravity.
Two Models Tailored for Different Players
The KING iron suits players seeking speed and forgiveness with higher swing speeds, while the larger KING MAX offers more offset, weaker lofts, and extra stability on toe and heel strikes, ideal for players wanting higher ball flight, draw bias, and maximum assistance.
Market Launch and Pricing
The new Cobra KING irons will be available in European markets from February 3 for 999 euros per six-iron set with steel or graphite shafts.
