Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with the new KING and KING MAX irons, featuring advanced technology for an easier playing experience.

Cobra enhances its KING lineup with the new KING and KING MAX irons. These modern irons combine innovative technologies to deliver higher ball flight, increased distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and an optimized sole, the new models make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer different options to maximize performance for every player type on the green.

Cobra KING Irons: Game Improvement through Modern Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- and high-handicap players, focusing on features that simplify the game: higher launch, more distance, enhanced forgiveness, and a more stable feel overall.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key element of the new irons is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. Its delicate lattice structure saves weight which is redistributed within the clubhead, lowering the center of gravity by about two millimeters. This results in a higher ball launch and a steeper descent onto the green, improving control, stopping power, and green approach accuracy.

More Speed with Consistent Feel

Cobra also incorporates technology for added distance. The 360 SpeedShell face offers significantly more flex across the entire face for consistent ball speeds even on off-center hits. This is supported by an 80-gram catapult weight housed in a vibration-damping polymer, delivering not only more consistent distance but also a solid, pleasant feel with a balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The redesigned Skid Sole features a pre-rounded leading edge with extra bounce and a flatter mid-sole, allowing cleaner turf contact and reduced resistance at impact. This enhances turf interaction and complements the low center of gravity design.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with moderate swing speeds and handicaps from about 10 to 20 seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX iron offers more offset, weaker lofts, and added stability on toe and heel strikes, ideal for players desiring higher ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum support.

Release and Pricing

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in Europe starting February 3. The set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts is priced at 999 euros.
