Titleist Vokey SM11 Wedges Enhance Short Game Control and Flight Consistency

Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the new Vokey SM11 series, designed for consistent control, graduated flight, and broad customization.

With the Vokey Design SM11 wedges, Titleist launches a new generation that focuses on uniform ball contact, flight behavior, and spin across all lofts. Within each loft, all variants are finely tuned to be identical, regardless of sole shape. These wedges are now available for fittings and will be globally released in golf specialty stores starting February 20.

Titleist Releases Vokey Design SM11 Wedges

A key feature of the SM11 series is the extensive variety of options. The collection includes 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole shapes. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short-game precision and extra K-Grind variations with tailored bounce, catering to different playing styles and set configurations.

Titleist employs a consistent approach to flight tuning with the SM11 wedges. The center of gravity is identically positioned within each loft for all sole types, ensuring that flight characteristics remain constant even if a player chooses a different grind during fitting. The goal is uniform distance and flight control across all variants.

Consistent Performance and Design Details

The center of gravity is graduated throughout the loft spectrum. Lower lofts from 44 to 52 degrees align their flight characteristics with irons, while higher lofts of 58 and 60 degrees provide a slightly lower ball flight. Models at 54 and 56 degrees are tuned between these ranges, helping wedges in a set to distinguish themselves clearly.

The wedge faces have also been refined with varying groove designs depending on loft. Lower lofted wedges feature grooves optimized for full-swing shots, and higher lofted wedges have grooves that improve ball contact on shorter or more difficult shots. The volume of the grooves has been increased compared to the previous generation.

Additionally, a new texture aligned with the swing direction enhances contact in short game shots around the green. The grooves are heat-treated to maintain their shape longer, and all faces undergo full quality control before shipping.
