Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the new Vokey SM11, designed for consistent control, flight, and versatile options.
Titleist introduces the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges, a new generation engineered for uniform ball contact, consistent flight behavior, and spin across all lofts. Each loft offers identically calibrated variants regardless of sole grind choice. These wedges are now available for fitting and will be globally released in golf retail shops from February 20.
Introducing the Titleist Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
The SM11 series features a broad selection, offering 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole shapes. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short game adjustments and extra K-Grind variants with tailored bounce, catering to diverse playing styles and set configurations.
Titleist applies a unified flight path approach with the SM11 wedges by positioning the center of gravity consistently within each loft across all sole forms. This ensures flight characteristics remain stable if players switch grinds during fitting. The goal is steady distance and flight control across all options.
Flight and Design Features of the SM11 Wedges
The center of gravity shifts progressively across lofts, with lower lofts (44°–52°) aligning flight with irons and higher lofts (58° and 60°) featuring slightly flatter trajectories. Mid-lofts (54° and 56°) bridge these ranges, helping clearly distinguish wedges in a set.
The wedge faces have been refined with loft-specific groove designs: lower loft grooves suit full-swing shots while higher loft grooves enhance control on shorter, delicate shots and difficult lies. Groove volume is increased compared to the prior SM10 model.
A new face texture aligned with the swing direction improves ball contact especially around the greens for shorter shots. Grooves in the strike zone are heat-treated to better maintain shape over time, and each wedge face undergoes full quality control before delivery.
