Cobra KING Irons: Advanced Technology for Easier Golf Play

Cobra expands the KING family with new KING and KING MAX irons featuring advanced technology for easier play.

Cobra adds two new models, the KING and KING MAX irons, to its KING family. These modern irons combine innovative technologies that enable higher ball flight, greater distance, improved forgiveness, and a more stable feel. From a lower center of gravity to a flexible face and optimized sole, the new models make the game easier, support controlled shots, and offer different options to maximize performance for every player type on the green.

Cobra KING Irons: Performance Improvement Through Modern Technology

The new KING and KING MAX irons target mid- to high-handicap players, focusing on technologies that facilitate the game: higher ball launch, more distance, enhanced forgiveness, and a more stable overall feel.

Lower Center of Gravity for Higher Ball Flight

A key feature of the new irons is a 3D-printed medallion from Cobra’s premium 3DP series. The delicate lattice structure allows weight savings and redistribution within the clubhead. This lowers the center of gravity by about two millimeters, resulting in a higher ball launch and steeper descent onto the green, which improves control and stopping power, making greens easier to hit.

More Speed with Consistent Feel

Cobra also uses technology to increase distance. The 360 Speedshell face offers more flex across the entire clubface, ensuring consistent ball speeds even on off-center hits. This is supported by an 80-gram catapult weight housed in a vibration-damping polymer, providing not only more consistent distance but also a solid, pleasant feel and balanced sound.

Improved Turf Interaction with New Sole Design

The redesigned Skid Sole features a pre-ground leading edge with added bounce and a flatter midsole, allowing the clubhead to glide cleanly through the turf. This reduces resistance at impact, enhances turf contact, and complements the low center of gravity.

Two Models for Different Player Types

The KING iron suits players with higher swing speeds and handicaps around 10 to 20, seeking maximum speed and forgiveness. The larger KING MAX iron features more offset, weaker lofts, and added stability on shots off the toe or heel, ideal for players desiring higher ball flight, draw tendencies, and maximum assistance.

Launch Date and Price

The new Cobra KING irons will be available in European retail stores on February 3rd. Both models are priced at 999 euros for a set of six irons with steel or graphite shafts.
