Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the SM11 series focused on consistent control, flight, and versatile options.
With the Vokey Design SM11 wedges, Titleist launches a new generation of wedges designed for uniform ball contact, flight behavior, and spin across all lofts. Within each loft, all variants are calibrated identically regardless of sole shape. The new wedges are now available for fittings and will be globally released in golf retailers from February 20.
Titleist Releases the Vokey Design SM11 Wedges
A key feature of the SM11 series is the broad range of options. The lineup includes 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind spread over six sole designs. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short game adjustments and extra K-grind variants with customized bounce. This variety covers a wide array of playing styles and set configurations.
Titleist applies a consistent approach to flight tuning for the SM11 wedges. The center of gravity is positioned equally within each loft for all sole types, ensuring flight characteristics remain stable when a player selects a different grind during fitting. The goal is steady distance and flight control across all variants.
Consistent Flight and Enhanced Short Game Performance
Across the loft spectrum, the center of gravity is progressively adjusted. Lower lofts from 44 to 52 degrees are designed to match the flight of irons. Higher lofts at 58 and 60 degrees aim for a slightly lower ball trajectory. Models with 54 and 56 degrees sit between these ranges, promoting clear distinctions between wedges in a set.
The wedge faces have also been refined. Different groove patterns are used depending on loft. Lower lofts feature grooves optimized for full swings, while higher lofts have grooves enhancing ball contact on shorter shots and challenging lies. Groove volume has increased compared to the previous generation.
A new face texture aligned with the swing direction improves ball contact especially on short shots around the green. The grooves at the impact area are heat-treated for longer durability. All wedge faces undergo full inspection before delivery.
Wide Range of Options and Finishes
The Vokey Design SM11 wedges are available in lofts from 44 to 60 degrees for right- and left-handed players. Finish options include Tour Chrome, Nickel, Jet Black, with a Raw finish available as a custom choice. The wedges come with various steel and graphite shafts and the Titleist Universal 360 grip.
