Titleist Vokey SM11 Wedges: New Generation Enhances Short Game Control

Titleist expands its wedge lineup with the new Vokey SM11 series, designed for consistent control, varied flight, and broad options.

The Titleist Vokey Design SM11 wedges introduce a new generation focused on maintaining consistent ball contact, flight, and spin across all lofts. All variants within a loft share identical tuning regardless of sole shape, ensuring uniform performance. These wedges are now available for fitting and will be globally available in golf specialty stores from February 20th.

Introducing the Titleist Vokey Design SM11 Wedges

The SM11 series offers a wide selection of 27 combinations of loft, bounce, and grind across six sole shapes. New additions include a 44-degree wedge for finer short game adjustments and extra K-Grind variants with adjusted bounce, accommodating various playing styles and set compositions.

Titleist employs a uniform approach to flight tuning for SM11 wedges, maintaining consistent center of gravity positions within each loft across sole shapes. This ensures stable distance and flight control even when changing grind options during fitting.

Flight and Groove Adjustments Across Lofts

The center of gravity shifts progressively across lofts: lower lofts (44°-52°) align flight characteristics with irons, higher lofts (58° and 60°) favor a slightly lower trajectory, with 54° and 56° models bridging the gap. Groove designs vary by loft, optimized for full swings at lower lofts and enhanced short game contact at higher lofts. Groove volume has also increased compared to previous models.

A new strike-face texture aligned with the swing path enhances ball contact on short shots around the green. The grooves are heat-treated for durability, and each face undergoes comprehensive quality checks before delivery.
