Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control, and typical Mizuno feel.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, presents its new club family in the woods category. The Mizuno JPX ONE series consists of a new driver, various fairway woods, and hybrids that aim to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

At the core of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemistry and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than conventional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) expands by over 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno unveiled two driver models: the regular JPX ONE driver with a larger head for more stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT with a compact, tour-proven shape and neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models feature adjustable weighting systems and a quick-switch hosel to precisely tune launch and spin.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also introduces new fairway woods featuring a redesigned CORTECH chamber that varies the internal distance between sole and chamber wall. This geometry enhances face flexion toward the toe and heel to maximize energy transfer across the face without compromising the center.

Each clubhead includes a circumferential composite crown to save weight high on the clubhead and lower the center of gravity. This design promotes higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness maximizes energy efficiency at impact, while the newly designed sole improves turf interaction, enabling cleaner contact and more consistent ball speeds from varied lies. With lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods blend ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectories – ideal for players seeking effortless distance combined with Mizuno’s characteristic feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The JPX ONE hybrids follow the fairway woods’ design philosophy in a more compact, iron-like form. The waffle-crown structure increases face stability and allows engineers to reposition available mass lower and further back in the clubhead for optimal launch and spin control.

Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face, CORTECH chamber, and the new sole design. Available lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28° offer a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
