Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control, and signature Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, which the manufacturer claims redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with the Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds over a larger hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (High-Speed Rebound Zone) is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two driver models.

The regular JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for increased stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a compact, tour-proven shape with a neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tune launch and spin according to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes new fairway woods featuring a redesigned CORTECH chamber, where the internal distance between the sole and chamber walls is varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face by allowing flexion toward the toe and heel without sacrificing the sweet spot’s center.

Each clubhead is equipped with a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams in the upper section and lowers the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while a newly developed sole optimizes turf interaction. This allows cleaner strikes and consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available in lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal blend of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s characteristic feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure increases face stability, allowing engineers to position freed-up mass lower and further back in the clubhead to support optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C steel face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the new sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
