TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D Driver with four models focused on maximum speed and adjustability.
TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cater to various play and swing types.
New Faces and Aerodynamics
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable yet. They feature newly developed carbon faces, which generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate variations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An upgraded Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite-element analysis (FEA), enhances the face’s flexibility in the lower region. This creates a larger high-performance area that stabilizes ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the clubhead aerodynamics have been maximized, with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures promoting clean airflow throughout the swing.
Customization Through Shafts and Settings
A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high degree of personalization. All models are equipped with a 4° loft sleeve, allowing adjustments in loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used. These are tailored to three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables precise shaft matching to different player types beyond standard options.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on positioning, players can influence ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights positioned forward promote higher speed, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS emphasizes maximum speed and notably low spin. Aerodynamic optimization of the head shape via computational fluid dynamics ensures smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s trailing edge. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without compromising speed. Using aluminum reduces weight and offers additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) permit flexible center of gravity shifts between increased ball speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite inherits the Max model’s technologies but focuses on an ultra-lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers looking to boost their clubhead speed specifically.
The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and will be in specialist retailers from January 29.
