TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Speed and Versatility

TaylorMade launches the Qi4D drivers, offering four models focused on maximum speed and adaptability to various swing types.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four different models cater to various playing and swing characteristics.

New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces that produce higher ball speed compared to titanium while being more durable and longer-lasting. Enhanced roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations, whether the ball strikes higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, developed through finite element analysis (FEA), increases the flexibility of the lower portion of the clubface. This widens the high-performance area, stabilizing ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the clubhead’s aerodynamics have been maximized, with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures promoting clean airflow throughout the swing.

Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is extensive customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially designed REAX shafts are available in three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, Active) and various flex and weight categories, enabling tailored fitting for different types of players.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model utilizes a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9g x 2 / 4g x 2). Placement affects ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights forward favor higher ball speeds, while rear placement offers greater stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is engineered for maximum speed and notably low spin. Its clubhead shape was aerodynamically optimized using computational fluid dynamics to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the clubhead. Two TAS weights (15g and 4g) enable precise spin and ball flight tuning.
