Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and classic Mizuno feel.
Founded in 1906, Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno unveils its new club family in the woods segment. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.
Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology
The highlight of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in cooperation with Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno created a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than conventional titanium or composite constructions, producing higher ball speeds across a significantly larger hitting area.
Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) enlarges by over 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models: the regular JPX ONE Driver with a slightly larger head for more stability and straighter ball flights, and the JPX ONE SELECT featuring a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-oriented weighting. Both offer adjustable weighting systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise customization of launch and spin.
Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer
The JPX ONE fairway woods feature a redesigned CORTECH chamber where the internal spacing between the sole and chamber wall is specifically varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face without compromising the center’s efficiency. Each clubhead includes a wraparound composite crown that saves critical grams in the upper area, lowering the center of gravity to promote higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures optimal energy efficiency at impact, while the newly designed sole enhances turf interaction for cleaner contact and consistent ball speeds from various lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer the ideal combination of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance with characteristic Mizuno feel.
JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology
The JPX ONE hybrids carry over the design philosophy of the fairway woods but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure increases face stability and allows engineers to redistribute mass lower and farther back in the clubhead, supporting optimal launch and maximum spin control. Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature MAS1C steel faces combined with CORTECH chambers and the innovative sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they create a seamless transition between long irons and fairway woods.
