TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade launches the Qi4D driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility for all swing types.

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers, designed to deliver new momentum and pace. These new models emphasize maximum speed with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, catering to different player swings and styles.

New Face Technology and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers yet. They feature newly developed carbon faces which generate higher ball speeds compared to titanium while offering greater durability. Enhanced roll radii across the clubface help reduce spin rate variances whether the ball strikes high or low on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using Finite-Element Analysis (FEA), increases the flexibility of the lower face area, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed in typical strike areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. At the same time, head aerodynamics have been optimized with carefully shaped contours, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures that promote clean airflow throughout the swing.

Qi4D Drivers: Custom Fit with Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are available, tailored to three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and offered in various flex and weight classes. This allows standard shafts to be fine-tuned to different types of players.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a four-weight TAS system with movable weights (9 g x2 and 4 g x2). Positioning these weights affects ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Placing heavier weights forward boosts ball speed, while rear placement increases stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is designed for maximum speed and very low spin. Using computational fluid dynamics, the head shape was aerodynamically optimized to maintain smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the club head. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) enable precise spin and trajectory tuning.

Qi4D Max

Focusing on forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Qi4D Max utilizes aluminum to reduce weight and provide additional adjustability. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity shifting between greater ball speed or enhanced stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Max Lite model adopts Max’s technology but with a consistently lightweight design. Its head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase their clubhead speed intentionally.

The Qi4D drivers can be pre-ordered from January 8, 2026, at €699 and will be available in retail starting January 29.
