Titleist Unveils Updated Pro V1x Left Dash Golf Ball with Enhanced Performance

Titleist introduces the Pro V1x Left Dash, offering golfers improved distance and controlled ball flight with a new design.

What started in 2018 as a specialized solution for select long hitters on the PGA Tour is now a permanent fixture in the Titleist ball family: the Pro V1x Left Dash. The model now receives an update after four years of development, set to hit shelves worldwide on January 21, 2026. According to Titleist, the new ball offers greater speed, longer flight, and even more stability in the wind, all validated by players across various professional tours.

Titleist’s New Edition: Enhanced Core and Flight Characteristics

The updated Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash features an advanced High-Gradient Dual Core that is more elastic, providing increased ball speed. This is complemented by a thicker mantle layer that reduces spin on full shots, while a thinner urethane cover delivers the feel needed around the greens. Titleist also introduces a new dimple design with 348 tetrahedrons, which contributes to a more consistent and efficient ball flight.

Development Challenges and Positioning

The origins of the Left Dash date back to 2018 when it was developed specifically for select tour professionals and extensively tested and revised over the years. Initial prototypes debuted on the PGA Tour in 2023 but exhibited too much spin with short irons, leading to a redesign focused on the core strengths of low spin, increased distance, and a stable, high ball flight. Positioned in the Pro V1 family between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x, the Left Dash is distinguished by a side marking “–Pro V1x,” and is already a well-known choice in fitting circles. Internal Titleist fitting data shows that about six to eight percent of users are recommended this model.
