TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Driver with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility. Detailed insights on the new driver.

TaylorMade brings new momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cater to different playing styles and swing types.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinement

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces that deliver more ball speed than titanium while being more durable and robust. Enhanced roll radii on the face reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball strikes higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, developed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility in the lower area, expanding the high-performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Additionally, the clubhead aerodynamics have been maximized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and discreet integrated structures that support clean airflow throughout the swing.

Tailored Customization with Shafts and Adjustments

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of personalization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active), available in various flex and weight categories. This allows standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses

Qi4D: The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier front weights promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS: Focused on maximum speed and very low spin, the LS model’s head shape was aerodynamically optimized using numerical flow simulations for smooth airflow and clean separation at the rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.

Qi4D Max: Prioritizing forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Max uses aluminum to reduce weight and add adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) enable flexible center of gravity shifts between greater speed and increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite: Incorporates Max technologies but focuses on a lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers looking to increase clubhead speed.

The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, priced at €699, and will be in stores from January 29.
